Application Program Interface. These are protocols and tools that let different software applications and web services share data. But for many marketers, APIs sound too complicated to use and thus they remain hidden in the realm of pasty-faced programmers.
Fortunately, we have a great tour guide on the show today to have us navigate this growing and geeky world of APIs:
Wade Foster, Co-Founder of Zapier.com in San Francisco joins the showgram. Zapier is making it easy for non-technical users to create connections between more than 34 APIs that don’t usually talk to each other. Think - APIs for Dummies, so naturally…we make a great audience!
Plus, we’ve got that latest installment of Brandon’s Cool Tech Tools…

Got a topic or rant you want us to tackle? Got a guest recommendation? Have a marketing challenge keeping you up at night? Want to be a guest on our show?
Two years ago this month we were sitting around slurpin’ overpriced coffee, pissin’ and moanin’, drawing and measuring our entrepreneurial workloads, applauding, criticizing, comparing wins and losses. We had so much in common dealing with clients and projects and trying to make a living – we decided to record our little chats or rants if you will.
Our goal was simple.Be REAL about marketing. No bullshit for the sake of being PC. Invite other experts and standouts in to talk the way people in the boardrooms and hallways really talk. Provide honesty about what we’ve all found to work, and what we like and don’t like.
And so…here we are. Still “Off the cuff. Always on target” as we bring in the best and brightest to join us to take aim at the latest news, views and trends in marketing, business, public relations, social media, and sales.
On this episode, we run down some past guest highlights and welcome our very special guest to mark the occasion – the one and only Chris Brogan joins the showgram.

Oh…and by the way - Here’s 13 highlights from our archives we urge you to check out as we celebrate The Marketing #Squadcast turning 2 years old. These are in no particular order. We’ve done 48 episodes…hard to pick just 13 out of all the great talent that has visited us.
Brian Wallace, with NowSourcing, Inc., talked about the latest obsession of Al Gore’s interwebs – INFOGRAPHICS.
This past episode, Ron Coleman with the law firm Goetz Fitzpatrick LLP in New York discussed commercial law, trademark, copyright issues, and if your marketing is legal.
Are your marketing efforts breaking the law? Or is someone else out there infringing on your company’s intellectual property in cyberspace? Maybe you’re just blissfully ignorant of all this stuff – just hoping you won’t get served with a cease-and-desist in the near future.
Ron Coleman, Partner, Goetz Fitzpatrick LLP in New York
